Last night the Aggie men’s basketball team met and exceeded my expectations; tonight, the Aggie football team showed up just as I had predicted but failed to pull out the win. A busy week for Aggie sports provided a lot of excitement and entertainment for die-hard fans like me. It also provided ample new content [...]

I am intrigued. The blog is well constructed with a fancy picture and nice color scheme. And there’s the basketball roster down the side with all the players mentioned, except new walk-on E. J. Farris. The lone post is written as if it were a journal entry and hardly resembles a news style article at [...]

First things first, Diondre Borel is one of the top quarterbacks in the WAC. He is far better than the quarterbacks USU has fielded in recent history. As a fan, I can’t be disappointed in the effort and determination shown by our QB.
Having said that, I have been doing a lot of thinking about what this [...]

The Utah State Aggies lost to the Nevada Wolfpack yesterday by 3 points, 35-32. 3 was also the margin of defeat in our game against NMSU last week. Herein lies the cunundrum: Nevada has a power ranking of 77 and NMSU is ranked 112th according to jhowell.net. How can we play so badly one week and so well the next? Had the [...]

MVP of his high school basketball league as a junior and getting ready to follow it up with a stellar senior season, James Walker decided he’d like to do that as a future Utah State Aggie.
His statistics aren’t mind numbing, and he’s not a high flyer, but the high school senior has had interest from more schools [...]

What do we know about the Aggies?
This seems to be a common question among Aggie fans with regardto their football team. Usually, after four games we would have a good grasp on where the team is in relation to our WAC counterparts. But this season is different. Take this quote, for example, from a USU fan [...]

I mentioned briefly in my USU vs BYU review that Peter Caldwell had played a good game and that our special teams played well. I’ve had the chance to look at the stats and realized that I didn’t do him justice. Here is his stat line for the season to date:
Peter Caldwell, K USU, Punts:23 Yards: 1025 [...]

The common feeling I have after most of our games is one of reserved enthusiasm. Following the BYU loss my feelings were the same, except maybe a little more reserve and a little less enthusiasm.
BYU was the superior team last night, there is no disputing it. However, the Aggies did look much more competitive this [...]
